Training Program
In line with CReATe’s strategic goals, the CReATe Research Training Program provides the highest level of education in research methodologies to prepare the next generation of researchers and physicians in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. We offer the following training opportunities:
Summer Student and Coop Training Program
Since 2010, CReATe has been offering 3 to 4 month hands-on research internships for undergraduate and medical students. Trainees are paired with senior researchers that provide day-to-day supervision and guidance on an assigned research project. This program enables trainees to build and showcase critical thinking skills, formulate project objectives and develop research communication skills. Applications for our summer 2018 program should be submitted by January 2018.
Graduate Studies
Dr. Librach holds cross-appointments at the Department of Physiology, and the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at the University of Toronto, and supervises MSc and PhD students from both departments. Students have the opportunity to gain technical skills, build collaborative networks and showcase their research findings at national and international conferences.
CReATe-Tel Aviv University (TAU) Collaborative Research Internship
CReATe Fertility Centre is excited to partner with Friends of Tel Aviv University (TAU) to provide TAU students in a medicine or graduate research program a research training opportunity in the area of human reproduction and/or stem cell research at the CReATe Fertility Centre. 3 month internship projects are submitted to the TAU Faculty of Medicine in March-April. Internships take place from July to October.
International REI Fellowship Program
A 2-year fellowship program administered through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto, and modelled after the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) REI fellowships curriculum. This program includes clinical and research training for international REI fellows.
